• 1.0 out of 5 stars from laceymakescake -- No moral, boring no real point to story : While I totally see what Joe Wicks is trying to achieve here and I admire it, I found the story boring and repetitive. There is no moral to the story, the bears don’t really do anything and the book lacks a rousing conclusion / warm fuzzy ending. Call me cliched. I’m sure my opinion will be unpopular - I am a huge fan of the Body Coach but also a huge fan of children’s books and I just didn’t find the burpee bears to be a successful marriage of these two worlds. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Browntown -- More than just a kids book! : This is soooo much more than just a childrens book. It has recipes, how to train safely with warm ups and warm downs. Joe Wicks has proven himself to not be a "silly billy" but such an inspiration to children and adults alike during the lockdowns and beyond. This book continues that work beautifully. Encouraging kids to keep fit and healthy in a fun way. Children should be "lunging" for this book, "bear crawling" to a "plank" and "squating" down to enjoy it. Fantastic. My 2 children LOVED it - they were captivated and randomly started doing lunges and burpees during the story! We did the wind down routine together as it was bedtime and they want to make the recipes this week. What an amazing book!!
